A Nymph Falls print from a quiet morning on the Puntledge. Nymph Falls is one of the great little parks in the Comox Valley to be at first light. The Puntledge runs steady year-round, the fish ladder cuts a clean line down the side of the falls, and the early hour means the trail is yours.
I came down before sunrise on an April morning, walked the trail in the dark to set the tripod up at the fish ladder, and ran a 2-second exposure to soften the water. The parking lot was still empty when I packed up. The Nymph Falls wall art shown here is that morning, the long exposure intact, the trees still in shadow above the falls.

About This Spot
This Nymph Falls print was made on the south bank of the Puntledge, a short walk in from the parking lot. The fish ladder runs down the southern edge of the falls, and the morning light comes in from upstream through the trees.
